Matis Rei
Sound director Matis Rei was born on November 21, 1988 in Kuressaare. Graduated from Kuressaare High School in 2008. Studied sound direction at the Baltic Film and Media School of Tallinn University (BA 2011), then continued his studies at the National Film and Television School in England (MA 2015). Helistudio Herzog Stuudio OÜ board member. In 2016, Rei won the Golden Reel Award, the most prestigious award among the world's sound directors, in the category of student film sound editing for the work done in the film «Fulfilament». This seven-minute short animation is also one of the final theses of his Master's course at the National Film and TV School.
