Kemal Kan
Kemal Kan, whose real name is Nurhan Tüzünkan, was born in Istanbul in 1929. He graduated from Istanbul Erkek High School. He graduated from Istanbul Law Faculty and Istanbul Municipality Conservatory Theater Department. He took the stage in Sariyer and Eminönü Community Centers during his student years. In 1952, he moved to cinema as an assistant director in Nuri Akinci's Beyoglu Esrari. He started acting in 1955 with the movie Irz Enemies, also directed by Nuri Akinci. In 1960, he made the transition to directing with the movie Zalim Kader. He founded Ne-Ka Film in 1967 and became a producer and director. He wrote the scripts for many of the films he directed. He directed films in many fields from village films to sex films. Continuing his cinema studies until the late 1980s, Kan passed away in 1997 in Istanbul
